Privacy Policy
How Control handles data, privacy, optional network features, and local storage.
Summary
Control is designed around local-first privacy. Most personal app data is stored on your device, including reflections, habits, focus sessions, check-ins, Dhikr activity, and app preferences.
Some optional features may use network requests, such as prayer time calculations, daily faith content, app support pages, or future model downloads if you choose to download local AI resources.
Data stored on your device
- Journal and reflection text
- Habits, focus sessions, clean-day progress, and recovery events
- Check-ins and state-awareness signals
- Faith preference and related content preferences
- Dhikr phrases, counts, history, and Du'a library state
- Notification preferences and app settings
- Local support context or continuity summaries where enabled
Optional network use
Control may use network requests when you enable or use certain features:
- Prayer times: approximate location or selected place and date may be sent to a prayer time provider to calculate times.
- Faith content: Quran, Bible, or quote content may be fetched from content providers when enabled.
- Model download: if offered and chosen, Control may download an on-device AI model file from hosted storage. The model runs locally after download.
- Purchases: if paid features are enabled in a future release, purchase status may be processed by Apple and any listed purchase provider.
Tracking and advertising
Control does not use third-party advertising tracking. Control does not sell your personal data.
Export and deletion
Control includes in-app controls to export supported local data and delete app data. Deleting app data removes local personal state controlled by the app. Some system-level records, such as App Store purchase history or iOS backups, may be controlled by Apple or your device settings.
Health and safety
Control is for self-regulation, focus, routines, reflection, and recovery support. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose conditions, and does not provide medical treatment.
